EKAHI Tour One.  2 Museums   ( assemble at the Kamehameha statue fronting Ali`iolani Hale )

Wednesday Only

( Limit 12 persons per tour )

$85.00 per person  
This four hour walking tour begins at
8:30am and ends at 12:30 Starting with King Kamehameha the Great in 1778 and continuing through Ali`iolani Hale, `Iolani Palace, Washington Place and the Hawai`i State Capitol.   This tour rests with a gentle ending at the Queen Lili`uokalani statue. 

After the tour you and your Mo`olelo story-teller relax with a no-host lunch at the Cafe' Laniakea located within the courtyard of the Historic YWCA building.  Laniakea translation: "Large Skies"  "Broadening Horizons".   The Cafe' Laniakea is a local Favorite and one of Honolulu's best kept secrets.   Cafe' Laniakea's excellent cuisine, service and open air restaurant brings this tour to the end of a story still in progress.

Compliments of Mo`olelo you will receive at the beginning of your tour a "Discover Historic Honolulu" book to help you fondly recall our Historic museums and the many additional sites of interest along the way.

 

ELUA  - Tour Two.   2 Museums   ( assemble at Mission Houses Museum )

Saturday Only

( Limit 20 persons per tour )

$85.00 per person
This four hour walking tour begins at
8:30am and ends at 12:30.  Your journey will begin in 1778 continuing through the arrival of Missionaries, Golden Years of the Hawaiian Monarchy, World War II and Statehood, all gracefully resting at the Father Damien statue fronting the Hawai`i State Capitol. 

Compliments of Mo`olelo you will receive at the beginning of your tour a "Discover Historic Honolulu" book to help you fondly recall our Historic museums and the many additional sites of interest along the way.

 

Tour Restrictions:


To meet Museum recommendations an adult must accompany anyone that has a special need such as a wheelchair.   Person or person (s) accompanying guest with special needs are required to purchase the tour package.

Please communicate the need of a wheelchair ramp for Museum tours.  Wheelchair accessibility may be restricted in some area’s of the tour in circumstances where the historical building is without ramp or elevator.  Inquire for details.

Children must be at least 5 years of age. No strollers or carrying children permitted within the museums.  This tour is recommended for children 12 and up.

 

Photography

Photography permitted except within `Iolani Palace.   Washington Place offers photo opportunities in designated areas only.

 

Tour Information

Business Hours
Tour (s) are currently provided Wednesday & Saturday with the exception of Holidays or Special events observed by museums.  (Holidays to be posted soon)

Rest stops
Frequent rest stops, opportunities for photo's, video taping and water.

Preparation for tour
Casual attire, hat, sun block and comfortable walking shoes.  Umbrella's available.

Museums require appropriate attire for admittance. Respect "ho`ihi" .. Pono, shirt and shoes are a must.  Large bags and back packs are not permitted in museums.

Do not forget to bring along a current photo I.D., some museums may require Identification prior to entry.

 

Transportation
